Family Outing to Itaewon

I should mention that this is the first time I’ve gone to Itaewon and not felt the sudden urge to bolt in the other direction.

We planned a family trip to go to Passion 5, which is a nommy nommy dessert/cafe/bakery… heaven of sorts. But we woke up late (ehhhh) so wehad to go eat first. Noona recomended this AMAZING burger place.

We .. ate so much, I can’t even begin to explain. THERE WAS REAL CHEESE. The prices are a little steep for eating out in Korea, I mean I could eat for a week (on cafeteria food mind you) for the price of a burger and fries… but for those who miss home or miss beef this is certainly the way to go. It was just so juicy and tasty and really really worth the money. I had the Smokey, which is a beef pattie with BBQ sauce and two thick cuts of bacon. God it was delish. We all shared a plate of chilli cheese fries….

…we will not discuss the calorie content. We believe it is irrelevant. K’thanks.

Chedder cheese is so hard to come by here, you have to go to a department store to find it, and then it can cost 500% the price at home! Which means I haven’t bought cheese or butter here (which is really good in some ways), I’ve been substituting with cream cheese, but I barely eat that.

Then on to Passion 5!

It was smaller than I thought it would be, only two floors, I was expecting something closer to 5… you know Passion 5? Anyway, we were pretty much dead by the time we got here, recovering from our food coma and walking in the heat while getting distracted (see photo albums). But the place was gorgeous. The food looked so good and I’m fully going back there!

Did I mention I love my family?
