MBLAQ
13th May 2010
We went to see them (for free) in Seoul Women’s University. I think it was part of a bigger concert… but honestly I don’t know. It was all in super hard core Korean ^_^
The concert itself was short, they sang I think three songs and talked for a little while. The people there were crazy, screaming with posters and banners. I’ve never seen anything like it....

Seoul Friendship Festival 2010
9th May 2010
There are so many festivals in Seoul, about things we normally wouldn’t celebrate… I know England has days like, National Towel Day or National Sausage Day. We laugh at the novelty but no-one actually does anything about it. But in Seoul they do, and it’s wonderful! So many people from many many different countries came to perform, share their food and educate the...

Seoul Tower
7th May 2010
(Kim asked the gift shop if we could take a picture with this board, she’s awesome like that)
The problem with doing activities is that we all have obligations till 6pm… which is when the traffic is setting in, meaning that we need to leave about an hour for travel time to go anywhere… this is frustrating. We tried to get to the tower before the the sun set, but...
SEOUL FC vs. SEONGNAM
5th May 2010
As an Englishwoman, it’s kind of embarrassing to say that my very first football match was in Korea. But I say to you, do you know how crazy the football fans are in England?! No WAY am I going to a stadium full of nut jobs regardless if it’s a friendly or not. And don’t say local games are better, because the fans are relentless.
Either way, this was my first game...

West Coast Trip aka International Students MT
1st May - 2nd May
(NOTE: MT = Membership Training)
Welp, we trusted that Manik, Adrian & Kyumin would lead us there to safety and they did. Honestly one of the best trips I’ve had out here in Korea, everyone who wasn’t there totally missed out. I want to hug the three of them, because I LOVED IT! And no-one got hurt. Totally surprised, you’d think that a house full of 30...

Family Outing to Itaewon
I should mention that this is the first time I’ve gone to Itaewon and not felt the sudden urge to bolt in the other direction.
We planned a family trip to go to Passion 5, which is a nommy nommy dessert/cafe/bakery… heaven of sorts. But we woke up late (ehhhh) so wehad to go eat first. Noona recomended this AMAZING burger place.
We .. ate so much, I can’t even begin to...
Midterm CAKE!
So when we have exams in England I’m usually besides myself with panic, I have a 4000 word assignment to do and I’m freaking out because I’ve done 1500 and it’s due in 3 days. This is what exams and assignments mean to me in England.
In Korea on the other hand I feel so relaxed that I have time to celebrate with cake!? I think because I took all my hard classes last...
Cherry Blossom Festival
So Hull has a few trees lining the side of Cottingham road and to be honest I never paid much attention to them. I thought that it was really only in Japan that they were considered a big deal. Only to find out that they are also a big deal here too! Seriously … the weather here has been so changeable and pretty much horrible in some instances. It should be steady Spring, but its not! But I...
